Job Description

The Boston Globe seeking an entrepreneurial  SDR to join our sales team. In this role, you will work closely with our Sales and Marketing team to accelerate the growth of our sales pipeline with direct outbound communications. This is the perfect role for someone who is excited about media and advertising and wants to become an all-star sales director in the future.


Responsibilities

• Proactively educate leads on all things Boston Globe Media • Hit a target of interactions per day with customer prospects via email, phone, social media, and in person at events and conferences • Serve as the gatekeeper to qualify inbound leads and develop for pass off to sales team • Work with our marketing team to ensure a consistent message across all communications • Work with our sales team to arm them with as much information as possible when it comes to new leads and prospects


Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field with work or internship experience in digital advertising or a related field • 1-2 years of experience in prospecting and qualifying new clients, customer acquisition, or customer conversion • Experience in an environment that required cold email and/or phone outreach • Outstanding communication skills in all forms: written, presentations, negotiations • Ability to navigate Salesforce or comparable customer relationship management tools • A deep interest in evolving media space and eagerness to develop innovative solutions • Strong organizational, communication and office skills with a track record on being effective and productive • Exceptional work ethic and the ability to proactively manage multiple projects and people in a team environment
