We’re looking to hire our first internal recruiter to support our rapid growth. You’re obsessively organized and love to trailblaze a new challenge. You’ll be responsible for qualifying and assessing candidates, managing internal referrals, scheduling and logistics, lead sourcing, managing online job postings, and outbound targeting specific candidates. You should be a self-motivated rockstar who has mastered using all of the major job sites like Linkedin, Monster, AngelList, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc. as well as experience using a candidate tracking system like Greenhouse, SmartRecruiters, or Lever. You must be extremely comfortable talking to candidates over the phone and conducting initial phone screens to identify the right candidates to invite into the office for interviews with our hiring managers. You must be driven by positive energy and enthusiasm! You’re the first impression every candidate gets of Doctor.com, so your conversations must exude positive energy and consistently display our amazing culture. We want everyone who applies to work at Doctor.com to walk away from their initial phone call wishing they’ll get the job (even if they won’t).
We need a real go-getter. Someone who can be the first of what should evolve into a full recruiting department over time. This role can evolve in various directions depending on your skill strengths and what you enjoy the most. Ideally this person takes such great ownership over this role that you would want to eventually manage a small team of recruiters as we continue to grow.
A Day in the Life: An example of what a day in this role could look like: Arrive to the office around 9AM and grab yourself a freshly brewed cup of joe! Take a seat at your desk and catch up on some emails. By 9:30 you’re jumping onto some calls to phone screen some new sales candidates. At 10 you’re phone screening some account management candidates, and by 11 you’re opening up Linkedin to track the success of your job postings, reply to all of your messages and schedule some more phone screens. Now you’re getting hungry and you decide to go grab lunch with one of your co-workers. After lunch you’re checking in on AngelList, and some other job sites… You get the point, I won’t ramble on here too much, what’s important for you to know is that you run your own show here. You won’t have someone telling you what to do every minute of every day. We give you the tools you need to be successful and provide some guidance and initial training but then we trust that you’re going to make it happen with little oversight and no micromanagement.
- 2+ years experience recruiting (preferably with a tech startup)
- Experience recruiting inside salespeople and account managers is a huge plus!
- Experience using Linkedin Talent Solutions
- Experience using a candidate tracking system like Greenhouse or SmartRecruiters
- Experience conducting initial phone screens
- Experience facilitating logistics for scheduling in-person interviews with hiring managers
