Business Development Executive- Game Group

SF Bay Area - San Francisco Full Time

  • Meet daily and weekly targets for sales calls and call reports. Is responsible for selling new business and providing customer service for the entire sales cycle
  • Make outbound calls and emails to prospects; communicates specific issues, targets, trends and opportunities using knowledge of the Game Development technology space
  • Focus on new business sales of exhibit space, sponsorships, digital media and lead generation programs
  • Work with team of 4 Sales Managers to help drive team goal achievement
  • Assist customers with online contract applications and manually enters sales order contracts into - is responsible for contract completion and accuracy
  • Maintain customer database for accuracy and call reports; conducts data clean-up each show cycle and on-going maintenance per policies
  • Actively maintain sales pipeline opportunity stages so that the pipeline is a true and accurate indicator of prospects' statuses; utilizes pipeline reports to provide sales forecasts to management


  • College degree in marketing or sales with at least one year sales administration, sales support, or direct sales experience. Individual must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and be detail oriented. In addition, must be computer proficient with experience in MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and other software packages
  • Strong phone sales/prospecting skills
  • Strong computer skills, familiarity with outlook, excel and online CRM software
  • Previous experience selling integrated media solutions (events/online)
  • The ability to sell business solutions in the gaming marketplace
  • Strong relationship-rapport building skills
  • Great at setting conference call meetings/appointments
  • Consultative sales savvy and the ability to work with customers to identify and meet their needs, goals and have an achievement driven mind-set
  • Travel may be required; up to 10% 2-3 regional events nationally
  • 1-2 years selling experience, experience selling marketing services a plus
