Job Description

The Business of Fashion is looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with a proven track record of B2B sales success to help drive the growth of BoF in North America. This role will have a major focus on selling our talent solutions to senior HR professionals (including BoF Careers and BoF Professional corporate subscription products to leading fashion and luxury companies).

With over 300 partners around the world, BoF Careers is the leading global marketplace for the best companies, jobs and talent in the fashion industry. BoF Professional is now one of the leading insights, learning and development platforms to help drive retention and growth within fashion brands. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing company as a key driver of its commercial success in North America. This position will be based in our New York office, and there will be a chance to manage a team as we grow.


Responsibilities

  • Source and close BoF Talent Solutions (BoF Careers, BoF Employer - -Branding & Professional) subscription sales to leading clients and multinationals across fashion, luxury, and related verticals
  • Leverage existing fashion industry network of senior executives to grow and upsell BoF Talent Solutions to PR and HR executives
  • Ensure a maximum of client renewals, and up-sell to existing clients
  • Identify sales targets and manage sales pipeline
  • Act as a brand ambassador for BoF

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate - 5+ years of sales experience with large accounts, ideally within recruitment, online - B2B or a media company - Existing senior executive network within the fashion industry (highly preferred) - Proven track record of sourcing and closing net-new clients, as well as achievement of revenue targets - Experience in selling in-person - Experience in managing clients post-sale and identifying up-sell opportunities - Experience influencing senior decision-makers, and proven client relationship management skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with an international, multilingual team and client base - Understanding of and passion for fashion, retail and the HR landscape - Analytical with strong attention to detail and process - Highly professional, and ability to act as an ambassador for BoF - Highly organised, results-oriented, able to work independently and prioritise in a fast-paced environment - Top-tier undergraduate degree (highly preferred) - Knowledge of the recruitment space preferred but not required - Understanding of B2B enterprise sales, demand generation, and SAAS sales Willingness to roll up sleeves in an ambitious start-up atmosphere
