The Boston Globe seeking an entrepreneurial, sales-driven business development executive in the Healthcare vertical, charged with leading our special-report series.
You will be responsible both for generating revenue and leading the content vision for all the topics related to the vertical. You will pitch the campaign and our content marketing products to the right clients, by having a thorough understanding of the client’s needs. You will work with our production team to ensure that all content elements are compliant with the goals of the campaign and your client’s expectations.
You will immerse yourself with in-depth research about relevant topics and current trends in the industry. You will identify the most important areas in the industry to create in-depth reports, working with partners, influencers and experts. You will act as a mini-GM for the vertical, responsible for creating a profitable business unit whilst providing exceptional in-depth campaigns, events and reports in the Healthcare sector.
As a Business Development Executive, you are responsible for driving content marketing products in the Healthcare vertical. You will be responsible for all strategic partnerships and initiatives with clients in the Healthcare vertical. We want you to serve as an integral partner with your clients for all of their digital, event and print needs across our special-report products.
Has the curiosity to uncover new opportunities informed by consumer insights and data
Delivers smart and thoughtful approaches of how digital, event and print marketing can achieve and go beyond clients’ expectations and goals through new business development and consultative solutions selling across multi-media platforms.
The successful candidate would be expected to increase revenues from existing advertisers and grow the account base through new business sales.
Identifies new client perspectives within the market to sell in partnership opportunities within Boston Globe Media Partners
Bachelors Degree • 3-6 years of previous sales experience in the healthcare vertical, whether media or Saas • Agile thinker who is passionate about the evolving digital landscape and knowledgeable about emerging platforms and properties • Impressive understanding of digital media and has a clear understanding of the media planning and buying process • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret client objectives and clearly articulate proposed media strategies and recommendations • Proven track record of closing opportunities with clients • Ability to work with C-Level business leaders • Strong technical aptitude • Passion and commitment for customer success • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment • Proven experience using creative sales solutions and presentations that address audiences at many levels.
