Job Description

The Regional Director of Marketing and Business Development will lead a sales team in the development of existing and cultivation of new referral sources for Constellation Home Care.

The Regional Director will have primary responsibility directly and through supervisory and senior leadership roles to meet the objective of expanding the customer base, market share and new business development both directly and via staff development activities.


Responsibilities

  • Creates and implements strategic business development plans targeted toward existing and new markets; forecasts to achieve company objectives.

  • Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budgets.

  • Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.

  • Develops and recommends service positioning, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.

  • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.

  • Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.

  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.

  • Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.

  • Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.

  • Establishes and maintains a consistent company image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.

  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.

  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.

  • Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.

  • Meets with key referral sources, assisting Account Executives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

  • Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.

  • Advises and works collaboratively with the Administrator and Director of Patient Services in identifying new business prospects including, location, services, and potential referral sources.

  • Provides key insight and competitive intelligence to target market areas to enhance strategic perspective and contribute to business development activities.

  • Develops solid business relationships through identification and participation in outside business/professional activities that will assist with the business development of home care and private duty services (i.e. shows, conferences, etc.).

  • Manages and directs staff including recruitment, selection and development to achieve Company goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in business or health related field.
  • Three to five years of previous sales management experience with measurable results, ideally in a health care setting.
  • Effective organizational, communication, customer service and coaching skills are required.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit is ideal. Demonstrated in-depth business analysis competencies.
  • Effective ability to communicate verbally and/or in written form effectively with co- management, internal and external customers.

Physical Requirements: 1. Hearing and speaking ability is required to communicate on the telephone. 2. Vision is necessary for entering data. 3. Reaching is required for paper management. 4. Manual dexterity is required for operating the computer, photocopier and telephone. 5. Mobility is required for going to photocopier, fax machine, etc. 6. This job requires travel between offices and to and from referral sources. Psychological Requirements: 1. An ability to recognize tasks to be done performs them independently as well as tasks to subordinates. 2. Ability to establish a responsible and trustworthy rapport with Company President and executive staff. 3. Flexibility to adjust to changing work schedules. 4. An ability to work in a fast paced environment under time constraints.

Intellectual Requirements: 1. An ability to learn all Constellation policies and procedures. 2. Judgment skills in processing information. 3. Organizational skills to establish priority of tasks and meet deadlines. 4. An ability to operate all aspects of the telephone systems, fax machines, computer, photocopier. 5. An ability to understand and follow instructions provided by the supervisor both in written and oral formats. 6. An ability to read, write and type. 7. Ability to supervise subordinates.
