Senior Manager, Sales and Business Development

Job Description

Lightbox is a different type of event space looking to add a different type of sales professional to our team. As a non-traditional event space that harnesses technology to build unique brand experiences, we are looking for an equally non-traditional sales person to drive our business development pipeline, working with top-tier clients such as Dell, Cosmo, Deloitte, L'Oreal. We are rapidly expanding, so we are looking to hire a bold, ambitious and experienced sales professional that can keep a fast-paced schedule ushering in new clients ready to build a unique brand experience at Lightbox.

Started by a successful entrepreneur, Lightbox is a lean and mean team that has been growing over the last several years, and we’re looking for a passionate, outgoing, high-energy senior sales manager to drive continued growth. With an expertise in marketing and sales, the ideal candidate will be dedicated to outbound sales effort and will have prior experience implementing and executing sales / business development strategies in the events / agency industry and are looking to drive growth within the company. We’re a small, fun team and looking to add a team player that’s as equally awesome and dedicated to their role focused on strengthening relationships with existing clients (300+) and generating new revenue in our new NYC location.


  • Develop marketing plans and strategies to meet quarterly revenue targets

  • Lead analysis of customer base and market opportunities to inform planning and refinement of execution

  • Identify and nurture new leads through delivery of revenue

  • Lead quarterly review process of sales performance and share recommendations with team

  • Work with CEO to develop the company’s strategic positioning and partnerships

  • Deepen and develop existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities with them

  • Be a thought leader and identify new events, experiential and marketing industry trends

  • Analyze competitor market and calendar of events to best address new revenue opportunities


  • Fearless expert in sales - we want a real hunter mentality!

  • 5+ years of sales experience in agency, events, hospitality and/or experiential marketing

  • Highly motivated person with an understanding of how to identify and pursue new revenue streams and opportunities

  • Proven track record of finding new business, negotiating, “pitching” and closing deals

  • Positive, upbeat attitude and enjoys interacting with clients and team members in a fun and friendly environment

  • Ideal candidates will have strong, pre-existing brand relationships with Fortune 500 companies and an established network in NYC
