Job Description

MemSQL is looking for an experienced Head of Sales Operations to lead both strategic and tactical aspects of the sales operations team. Reporting to the VP of Worldwide Sales, this individual will drive sales operations for our growing sales organization. This high-impact, high-responsibility role requires a strategic, metrics-driven operations expert who will have a major impact on the company’s growth and sales success.


Responsibilities

  • Consistently analyze the health of the business and put plans in place for operational improvements
  • Present and make data-backed recommendations to the executive team
  • Help evolve best practices to reduce the cycle time of deals
  • Assist with both standard and complex deals, giving the Sales org more opportunity to close business
  • Own Order Desk process from start to finish
  • Partner closely with various team including Demand Gen, Inside Sales, and Field Sales
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify opportunities to increase various sales funnels
  • Create dashboards and build reports in Salesforce
  • Architect and plan revenue achievement roadmaps
  • Own commission planning and execution of plans
  • Drive and lead the effective implementation of sales ops initiatives such as opportunity management tracking and forecasting, customer relationship management, customer satisfaction program, sales training/development, and infrastructure projects

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of systems, having deep experience with Salesforce, Excel, Xactly, and BI Tools
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience managing sales reporting and sales metrics
  • Strong understanding of the latest sales tools and optimizing existing sales software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with very strong presentation skills
  • Deep business acumen, having experience in the enterprise software space
  • Management experience, including both people and project management
