Job Description

Peek is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our consumer marketplace team. You will be responsible for developing relationships with some of the largest attractions suppliers in the world, convincing them to list their activities inventory on peek.com, and optimizing their offerings for our peek.com marketplace. The ideal candidate for this role possesses a unique mix of sales, negotiation and relationship management skills as well as an appreciation for more technical elements like navigating our Peek Pro SaaS platform or reviewing net rate sheets. If you get excited about managing the end-to-end relationship lifecycle for all current and prospective attractions supplier partnerships than this could be the role for you! This position will report to the VP of Marketing and VP of Sales, with extensive cross-functional interaction.


Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage hundreds of senior relationships with major attractions suppliers, managing prospects through the deal pipeline, from initial sales/outreach to negotiating net rate sheets
  • Success is measured by the number of new attractions added to and maintained on peek.com
  • Prepare compelling presentations and pitch commercial proposals to executive level decision makers
  • Oversee all aspects of supplier contracting, including prioritization, assessing strategic fit, redlining contracts and assisting in negotiating terms
  • Work with cross-functional teams in engineering, product, marketing, operations, legal and finance in order to ensure alignment on relationship terms
  • Engage in ongoing management of high priority established supplier relationships, and maintain accountability for the health of the partnerships
  • Attend industry conferences and trade shows, build relationships with destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and convention and visitor bureaus (CVBs) and regularly attend industry networking events outside of traditional office hours
  • Work with content team to review pricing, availability and content for quality and accuracy -Review operator sales performance and leverage supplier relationships to maximize revenue from their products
  • Drive excitement amongst supplier relationships about upcoming Peek.com marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote attractions products and broader destination content
  • Provide training and assistance to suppliers as needed, including customer support, finance/payments and other admin matters
  • Demonstrate strong leadership through robust execution of projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 2-4+ years of sales and/or account management experience, ideally at an online marketplace
  • Prior experience in the tours and activities industry highly desired
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset: enjoys the challenge of a fast-paced, complex startup environment
  • Strong negotiating skills; experience crafting deals and developing business relationships that improve company performance
  • Excellent communications and pitching skills
  • Familiarity with ROI analysis and how to prioritize one opportunity vs. another
  • Very organized with impeccable attention to detail and relentless follow-through
  • Proactive and able to work autonomously when necessary
  • Process-oriented, enjoys coordinating work between multiple parties
  • Able to organize multiple priorities simultaneously and still consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Salesforce.com and online content management systems
  • Willing to travel occasionally
